I was in an accident
Your vehicle was in an accident—here’s what you need to know.
Please contact your insurance provider to initiate a claim. If you’re insured with SGI you can file online through SGI eClaim. Be sure to inform your adjuster that the vehicle is located at Astro Towing.
You’re welcome to access your vehicle to remove any personal belongings. To do so, you can either complete our online form for quicker processing or visit our office in person with valid government-issued photo ID.
Vehicle access is limited to the registered owner. If someone else is accessing your vehicle on your behalf, they must present written authorization along with a copy of your photo ID. This authorization can be brought in person or emailed to us at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can complete our online form to grant permission.
Please ensure you remove all personal items from the vehicle. Note that we do not permit the removal of any parts or accessories that are wired into or permanently attached to the vehicle while it remains in our compound.

My vehicle was stolen
Your vehicle was stolen—here’s what you need to know.
Stolen vehicles are often covered by your insurance. Please contact your insurance provider to advise the vehicle has been recovered. Be sure to inform your adjuster that the vehicle is located at Astro Towing. Depending on the status of your insurance you may be responsible for the cost of towing and storage.

Your vehicle was impounded under the SGI Vehicle Impoundment Program. These items apply exclusively to that program.

My vehicle was towed by Law Enforcement for another reason
Your vehicle was towed as abandoned—here’s what you need to know.
The Police instructed us to tow your vehicle to our compound.
When you come to our office to retrieve your vehicle, we will require:
- Your government-issued photo ID
- Vehicle registration
- Payment for towing and storage (call us for an exact cost)
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, or Debit for payment. All credit cards must be present at the time of transaction. Alternatively, you can send an e-transfer for the total amount to [email protected].
Vehicle release is limited to the registered owner. If someone else is collecting your vehicle on your behalf, they must present written authorization along with a copy of your photo ID. This authorization can be brought in person or emailed to us at [email protected]. Alternatively, you can complete our online form to grant permission.

My vehicle was moved during street sweeping or snow removal
Was your vehicle parked while signs were posted for Road Maintenance? Not to worry, it was likely relocated nearby. For further information you can check the City of Saskatoon’s Find My Vehicle app.

My vehicle was towed by Parking Enforcement
If the City of Saskatoon instructed us to tow your vehicle to the City of Saskatoon Impound lot it would be located at 150 Jonathon Avenue. For further information, please call the City directly at 306-657-8526.
